Dr Chih-Chi HU

Dr Chih-Chi Hu’s current research at CCRS focuses on exploring better usage of satellite observations and AI within JEDI for Singapore and Southeast Asia regions. Before joining CCRS, his research focuses on improving the data assimilation (DA) methods from both theoretical and practical perspectives for numerical weather prediction (NWP), including exploring the theories and applications of the Particle Flow Filter, non-Gaussian observation error estimation and bias correction for satellite radiances. He is also interested in machine learning, targeted observations, and tropical cyclone research.
