Ms Ipein CHUA
As the Senior Assistant Director of the Department of Research Master Planning, Ipein drives the coordination of climate and weather science research across universities, research institutions and agencies in Singapore to strengthen weather and climate science capabilities locally while nurturing international partnerships and collaborations to enhance Singapore’s global standing in weather and climate science. By facilitating participation in global research initiatives and leveraging international expertise, the department aims to develop research masterplans and programmes aligned to national priorities, develop and implement a science communications strategy to effectively disseminate research findings and enhance visibility of programme outcomes to stakeholders including policymakers and the public.
Prior to joining CCRS, Ipein has been a policy maker with the National Environment Agency, contributing to major policy reviews in environmental public health. While with the Agency for Integrated Care, she was heading regional engagement and integration across the healthcare chain, working closely with physicians, clinicians and healthcare providers from primary care, hospital and community care settings to consolidate care for patients.
