Mr Marcus GOH
As a Manager of the Climate Science Research Programme office (CSRPO) within the Centre for Climate for Research Singapore (CCRS), Marcus is responsible for administrative management of CCRS/CSRPO-based research programmes which include the development of project plans and schedules, generating progress reports and regular engagement with national stakeholders. Marcus also facilitates collaborative partnerships across various research constituencies.
Marcus is also part of a team within the Department of Research Masterplanning that focuses on building local climate and weather research capabilities through CCRS’ Climate Science Research MasterPlan (CSRMP), and research programmes that are funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF) Singapore. In addition, Marcus aspires to strengthen national climate and weather science capabilities by driving stakeholder engagement across Singapore to align research with national needs and priorities and strengthening collaboration with international partners.
Prior to joining CCRS, Marcus spent 3 years in Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) as A*STAR’s Ministry’s Deskhead in the Innovation, Research & Development Division (IRD) and working on various roles regulating Singapore’s travel lanes during the COVID-19 pandemic as a member of the Cross Border Travel Office Division (CBTO). Marcus also had a short stint in the Wildlife Management Division (WMD) in National Parks Board (NParks) researching pest bird populations across Singapore.
