Dr Chen CHEN
Dr Chen Chen’s current research focuses on a better understanding of the future climate change in the South-east Asia region. She is part of the team working on the Third National Climate Change Study for Singapore. Dr Chen’s research started with the geophysical fluid dynamics and later focused on the tropical climate dynamics. Her recent research addressed future changes of the interannual climate variability (e.g. El Niño Southern Oscillation) and the extreme weather events using combined approaches of earth system models and advanced statistical techniques. She is involved with the research network of statistical methods for atmospheric and oceanic sciences, and also serves as the programme committee chair for the Climate Informatics workshop series.
