Dr Xiaoling ZHOU

Dr Xiaoling Zhou has a background in AI model development and large-scale simulations. She has contributed to research on statistical downscaling to investigate the impacts of climate change on slope erosion risk in Singapore. She also participated in a China–Singapore collaborative research project, developing an AI-based system for building defect inspection. With over 10 years of experience in high performance computing, Dr Zhou has completed six projects (including the National Technology Innovation Project and National Natural Science Foundation of China) as Principal Investigator on modelling and predicting the properties of advanced structures and acoustic–structure systems. Due to her work, she was awarded the Shanghai Quality Technology Excellence Award in 2019.
